You lift the now grown Socky into the air, and jump straight into the combat, swinging him around with ferocity. You kill one monkey with a decapitating strike, and take the legs out from another, finishing it with a thrust to the heart. One monkey attacks you, but you hop out of the way, and put a good dent in it's half-metal head with the flat of your blade.

You try to use your shadow travel to port above a monkey's head, but you cannot find a monkey that is sitting in one place long enough. You try a few times, but all you do is waste bullets. They move too fast to be attacked from above. One ape seems to notice that you are trying to shoot it, and takes this personally. It launches itself at you with a savage scream. React quickly, but trip over the hydra that is still attached to your leg. Luckily, your fall still managed to get you out of the way.

While the others fight with cyborg monkeys, you look back upon your past. Your reminiscence stops somewhere around a painful memory of being trapped underwater while your suit shocks you into unconsciousness. No. That will not happen again. You work with Marvin to water proof it in every way. You get behind a tree for safety, remove your suit, and tinker with it, until... wait. There's nothing to fix.
"Marvin, why did my suit shock me when I fell into that water?"
"You rolled a 1."
"What???" What could he possibly mean by this?
"Okay..." you continue. "but... it's waterproof now, right?"
"Yeah. You rolled a 4 this time." You stare into space for a while. Is there something wrong with Marvin's programming? (No, he just knows more about the world than your character does.

NPCs/EVENTSSuddenly, Blaiz reappears. He pulls out his two knives, and swiftly kills several monkeys. Then, out of the sky, four giant birds come down and pick up the rest of them. They all pin the monkeys to the ground, and proceed to eat them alive, metal parts and all. Blaiz makes his way towards the party as the gruesome deed takes place. It's almost as if he takes no notice of the birds' actions at all.
"I got us a ticket to where we need to go." He gestures to the birds as they finish gulping down their monkey meal. Looks like riding giant carnivorous birds is all the rage now. You guys might want to get on before they get hungry again.
