Hello,
So I'm fairly new here, having owned the game for almost 2 weeks and it's a pretty addicting experience. One thing that really boggled my mind is the absence of a dodging mechanic. If you ask me, this is (or should be) a basic, essential mechanic for melee-based games. The fact I'm trying to fight off a giant, slow turtle with a spear (to indicate I keep a distance) and I can only "walk backwards" making me prone to its headbutts is just... silly. Or when a bird is swiping towards me, all I can do is "run" to a specified direction in an attempt to dodge, but no amount of speed is enough to dodge it successfully. Or if a T-rex is chasing me, I'd like to be able to roll right underneath it to avoid getting chomped. I just think this mechanic could spice up the combat.
I know this game has been out for a good while and this feature has probably been brought up before, or maybe it's currently being integrated. But I just wanted to put it out there in case it has not.
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
